New update

Hi everyone sorry we have not been on our site for a long while had a few problems

as most of you now know we have took over cherry lodge king Edward park for our community hub which after a lot of work will hopefully be open fully in jan2020 we hope to make it into a community hub where allsorts will be happening we will put details on this site as we get them

Sorry the fireworks had to be called off we will make up for it wity a fireworks xmas event just got to get it sorted thanks everyone stop tra.

up date

Hi just a update to let everyone know what the group as been up to we were finallists in the awrds for best community group / best green project / best sports project we won the sports project and come runners up for the other two.

We have also won a Green flag pendant award for the community for work carried out on King Edward Park and our community garden thanks to all who as helped us on this project thanks  all sports will be taking place as usual this year with community games taking place over the next 2 weeks we also now have a new skate board plaza for use for everyone and its free thanks everyone stop tra.

NEW SKATEPARK PLAZA

The work on the new skateboard plaza started on the 14th nov 2016 work as gone so well it should be completed by the 9th dec 2016 it will be a big pulling point to get more people using the park with the new football pitch as well which will be ready to use next year our tenants group will also be doing other sports for all ages so keep your eyes open and come and join in thanks stop tra group.

OVER THE LAST 12 MONTHS WE HAVE CREATED A COMMUNITY GROWING SPACE ON A PIECE OF LAND LOCATED ON KING EDWARD PARK THIS AS BEEN A COMMUNITY LED INITIATIVE WHICH AS BEEN SUPPORTED BY NOTTINGHAM CITY HOMES.

WE THE GROUP AND NOTTINGHAM CITY HOMES ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THERE ARE MANY HEALTH BENEFITS FROM GARDENING AND THE GROUP ARE KEEN TO WORK WITH LOCAL PEOPLE IN AN ATTEMPT TO IMPROVE PEOPLES HEALTH AND WELLBEGING

NEW FOOTBALL PITCH

Hi all just to let everyone know that the new football pitch on King Edward Park is nearly ready it as had its first cut this week.

We are just hoping that people and teams that use it will respect what as been done and the money that as been spent so please look after it thankyou

KING EDWARD PARK COMMUNITY GARDEN EVENT

Hi Everyone just an update yesterday sat 14th may we had a opening of our community garden at King Edward Park it was a good day for everyone that attended we estimate over 300 people attended and we also potted close to 200 plants with the children mums and dads that really joined in once again thanks to Nottingham City Homes Nottingham City Council and Councillors local cpos who was great and joined in the fun and the banter and also thanks to all the stall holders who put the art and craft stalls on thanks to you all Stop Tra Group.

community garden new project

Hi Thanks to Nottingham city homes giving us nearly £8,000 we have now started on our new community garden which is situated at king Edward park in carlton road sneinton.

We will be working with local schools all of our community is welcome to come and help out we will also be working with the local doctors to encourage people who are lonely or have nothing to do to come and join us even if they just want a cup of tea and someone to talk to.
